DSA APRIL EVENTS POSTPHONED OR SUSPENDED

DSA Members and Friends,

Due to the recent CDC recommendation to not have gatherings of 50 or more we regretfully announce that DSA events for April are cancelled or postponed.

We all hate the erosion of normalcy in peoples lives at this time in our country, but everyone should make every effort to do what they can to help to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.  So even though our crowds are not usually large, the DSA has made the decision to postpone/suspend events through the month of April and then look at the situation at that time.

The postponed events include the following.

Hall of Fame awards - scheduled for April 18 is tentatively re-scheduled for September 19.

Deep Ellum Arts Festival - scheduled for April 3-4, re-scheduled to September 11-12.

The other events for the remainder of March and all of April will be suspended.  Those include the following.

Open Mic at Dunn Brothers - March 19
DSA Spotlight at Love & War - March 26
Member Meeting at Half Price Books - April 2
Meetup Workshop at Half Price Books - April 6
DSA Spotlight at Opening Bell - April 8
Open Mic at Dunn Brothers - April 16
DSA Spotlight at Love & War - April 22

On the bright side, we are looking into remote online meeting tools or streaming video to stay in contact with our wonderful members during this stressful time.

So stay connected with us on Facebook and check your inbox regularly. We may host Zoom or Google Hangout meetings on line, as well as hold our on online festival. This ideas are being tossed around.

Stay safe and well!

DSA Directors
