Dallas Songwriters Association

Dallas Songwriters Assoc. is a 501 C3 nonprofit organization dedicated to providing learning opportunities about the craft and business of songwriting. All styles of music are welcome in the DSA, and membership includes writers of all ages. DSA monthly activities include meetings with guest speakers, song critiques and performance showcases and open mics that are open to the public and streamed to Facebook and Youtube. In addition, the DSA offers song contests, a Hall of Fame program, community awards, youth programs, and publishes a monthly newsletter, Songwriters Notes.

Thursday, Dec 5 - HALF PRICE BOOKS OPEN  HAS BEEN CANCELLED

Tuesday, Dec.10 - CHRISTMAS PARTY OPEN MIC (We are not meeting at the normal place, CCC, for Second Tuesday Workshop - instead)
Lisa Byrn will host our Xmas Party Open Mic (Christmas originals or Christmas covers) Tuesday Dec. 10 at Tino's, Too, 2205 K Ave. near downtown Plano. Networking starts at 6:30, and tunes start around 7. DSA will provide appetizers, but feel free to come for dinner and drinks. This is a great time to bring a friend or spouse to meet your friends at the DSA.

We still have room for performers for the Dallas Songwriters at House of Blues on Dec. 18 from 7-10. So far we've got Gigi, Ian, Dan, Kerry and friends, Lisa, Trevor, Julie Jean, Robin and friends, Shane and friends, and just Buck.
