Dallas Songwriters Association

Dallas Songwriters Assoc. is a 501 C3 nonprofit organization dedicated to providing learning opportunities about the craft and business of songwriting. All styles of music are welcome in the DSA, and membership includes writers of all ages. DSA monthly activities include meetings with guest speakers, song critiques and performance showcases and open mics that are open to the public and streamed to Facebook and Youtube. In addition, the DSA offers song contests, a Hall of Fame program, community awards, youth programs, and publishes a monthly newsletter, Songwriters Notes.

DSA SUMMER PARTY
Hey DSA, get ready our annual summer get-together for food, music and fun!  As usual it will be at Joe Milton's 'cause he has the best party house and music studio around. So make plans to get there on Saturday August 3 from 3:00 pm 'til who knows when!

 

Joe and the DSA will be providing barbecue, beans, cole slaw and basic refreshments but please bring a favorite side dish, party snack, dessert and adult beverage.  Don't forget your guitar, and a swimsuit if you are so inclined (the pool has a wicked slide).  Joe has a great grand piano too so you keyboard players don't have to lug anything in!  Spouses and friends of members are welcome but keep in mind it's an all-adult gathering.  Here is the location and directions.

From IH-635 take US 80 East towards Terrell and exit Collins Rd. Make a left and go under the bridge. Take the first right at Tripp Rd. There is a little church on the corner. Take the first right again at N. Paschall, 2nd house on left with a long driveway.  If the driveway is full, please park on the street and come to the side door off of the driveway.

 

Also, it's very important to please RSVP to myself or Joe Miltonat joe@joemilton.com so he knows how much meat to smoke up and also let us know what you plan to bring (so we don't all show up with the same potato salad).
